I have been in contact, for an interview, with a woman who does marketing in a way that radically departs from the crowds. This made me think of how much courage it takes to advocate a way to do marketing that does not follow mainstream thinking. And yet, I believe all brilliant businesses do precisely that. They do not take the status quo as gospel and they carve their own way to do what feels right to them.

This does not only take courage. It takes faith. And it made me want to talk about business and faith. Of course my spiel is that businesses have souls so it is not that hard for me to walk that extra step and say you need faith in business. But in truth, I am having to do that every single day in my business. As an intuitive business strategist, I have no cookie cutter approach to anything. I simply tune into the energy and see what the energy says. It is both exhilarating and terrifying. And yet I would not have it any other way.

Knowledge is a wonderful thing. And without knowledge, we would not be able to make informed decisions. There comes a point, however, where too much information gets confusing and distract you from the direction you have in your business and from the guidance that you get. Every single business man/woman will tell you that their best breaks came out of inspiration. A sudden moment of inspiration that they got and acted on. Everyone told them that “this is the way you do business” and they said “No. I feel that I am meant to do it this way’. And this is what I want to encourage you to do today. Listen to your own beat. Your own drum.

When I work with clients, very often the guidance that I receive does not fit with “logic” even if it makes a lot of sense. It aligns with the heart. It makes sense from a soul’s perspective. Some people think that doing business and soul matters have nothing to do in each others’ worlds, but I disagree. If you lose your why in business, you lose your passion and your business becomes just another job. It is then hard to find the motivation to get out of bed and show up. I would hate for you to come to that point.

In his book, Simon Sinek mentions taking part in a very select business gathering of graduates from a prestigious business school, who all met their financial targets and in some case exceeded them. They all had reasons to feel successful and yet the majority of them did not. And the reason they did not is that along the way, they lost their why. If you find yourself in that situation, why not book a session with me so that I can tune you back up again to your own beat. The investment is £167 for a business akashic records session.
