As I have already launched my podcast, I thought I would offer here some brief show notes (mostly useful links) to resources that are relevant to my first seven episodes (including today’s).

Episode 1 – Introduction about myself

This episode does not need show notes as I will assume that you already know a fair amount about me from this website. I refer to my past life (yes it does feel like another era) as a corporate lawyer and how I used to listen to inspiring lectures on my way to work to “keep me going” in a corporate environment that offered nothing for my soul.

Episode 2 – Journalling for success

I love this episode as I explore the main seven types of journalling and how using this tool on a regular basis (I journal on a daily basis now) can take your business to the next level. Here are the seven main types of journalling: 1. Goal setting, 2. Tracking, 3. Mind dump, 4. Mindset, 5. Reflecting, 6. Recording and 7. Gratitude. I use them as and when needed. However, the one type of journalling that I found the most useful is the kind of journalling that enables you to get rid of negativity and in this episode, I show you how to do this effectively. In my hypnotherapy day, I used to use the analogy of the bucket of worry with my clients to show them how we can have too many things to worry about and how to go about to lower the level in their bucket so that they would feel more in control. What I only realised when training as a reiki master is that there is also an energetic bucket that needs emptying. Listen to the episode here to find out how to do that.

In this episode, I mention bullet journaling which I tremendously enjoy for tracking across the board. This is my favourite bullet journal video. The one that got me started. You do not need a special bullet journal to use their techniques. A simple notebook will do. I chose mine with a soft cover and light coloured so that I can write with a pen on the front what the journal is about. I use pink for my business journal and I am now on journal 12. They all sit on my shelf near my computer as references for notes that I have taken along the way.

Here is a photo of my tracking page for visibility. I like to use coloured fine liners. I either colour the whole square or leave it empty so I can write down how many times I have done something in a day.

Episode 3 – Signs from the Universe

Even if we are not remotely interested in spirituality, signs from the Universe can be an incredibly comforting way to get guidance or comfort in difficult times. It can also be a great way to check if we are on course. In this episode, I explain how to ask for signs and what to expect. I have received the most extraordinary signs in my life and I would say one of the tricks to get them is to pay attention, which all happens when you slow down and notice things. One of my favourite ones happen when I returned to work after a three month sabbatical and asked the angels “What now?” I felt lost. I had opened the door to a magical world made of art, intuition, healing and was now back in my cubicle, doing legal knowledge management. I went for a walk around the block at lunch time, on my own. The sky was a glorious blue. Not a cloud in the sky. And this white feather flew out of nowhere and landed on the palm of my hand. The angels have been with me ever since.

In this episode, I mention Pam Grout’s book E-Square. It is available in print, audio and Kindle. I also mention Diana Cooper, who is a British healer with many books to her name. One of the ones I enjoyed the most were A little light on Angels and A little light on spiritual laws. I talk about Abraham-Hicks, a collective of wise beings that guide us from the other side and who are channeled by Esther Hicks. Their teachings can easily be found on You Tube.

Episode 4 – What if businesses had souls?

Having read the akashic records for years (there will be an episode on this later this year), I started in the summer 2018 to read business akashic records. My focus is now almost exclusively on business. But this presupposed that businesses had souls. This, of course, came to no surprise to me but I wanted to expand on this in a episode so that you could see businesses in a different light. I had been reading the akashic records of books for my clients for years which enabled me to literally download everything about the book in a single session. Books are separate energy entities from the author and Elizabeth Gilbert touches upon that in her book Big Magic when she talks about a book idea that came to her and then went to another author after she gave up on the book. I believe that similarly to books, businesses have souls and this applies even to businesses such as coaching where the person who runs the business is the face of the business. I believe business owners make contracts with their businesses before they were born. This has many wonderful implications. It means that you can do business more efficiently by following the lead of your business. It can take so much of the guess work out of the equation and of course it makes a beautiful case for using intuition in business which I am a big fan of.

In this episode I mention Simon Sinek’s epic TED Talk Start with why. He also wrote a book that can be found in print, audio and Kindle.

Episode 5 – Slimming as a path to awakening

As a reiki master, this title rattled me back in 2009 when my guides asked me to write a book about slimming. I simply could not see how slimming could be anything spiritual. They said that writing the book would show me the way. And it did. Through exploring the topic of food, body image and weight management, I realised how at the core of most weight problems was fear and a lack of love. I also realised that most people who believe to be on a spiritual journey neglect their bodies and how this is actually unspiritual. I see the body as the temple for the soul and as such it needs to be honoured and looked after. Ten years on, and I am still exploring more depths on this topic. I am also going on my own journey of releasing weight and sharing on my Facebook page with the hashtag #100daystosize12. If you are looking for inspiration, hop over.

In this episode I mention my book the Journey of the Slim Soul, which will be available on Kindle in 2019. If you are interested in knowing when the book is available, click here to be added to my newsletter. You can read more about my books here.

Episode 6 – Interview with Suzanne Culberg

This is my first interview on the podcast with a woman whose mission is to offer a sustainable approach to slimming away from diets and fads. She was herself the queen of diets for a long time but always put the weight back on with interest until she had a second child and decided “no more”. I have loved interviewing Suzanne. Her approach to slimming is not only healthy but sustainable. She offered fascinating insights during the interview. One of my favourites was that with diets you lose weight rapidly then reach a plateau. Then you drop off. Then you put all the weight back on with interest. This is the way diets work. With her approach, you will probably not see results for the first three months but then they pick up and the weight loss is accelerated because what you look at is to build supporting habits one at a time. Once a habit is establish, not only can it have a knock on effect (it certainly has for me with green smoothies), it leads to habit stacking which can then help you gather momentum. It is also a win win because it is sustainable. I have always known that no one fails at a diet, it is the diet that fails you. I was so glad to have this confirmed with Suzanne.

You can find Suzanne on Facebook here. She is running a fabulous webinar on the 10th of January 2019 to help you establish a no fail plan. Click here to sign up.

Episode 7 – How the akashic records can help with slimming

Finally, here is this week’s episode on how the akashic records can help with your slimming. My guides were on a roll that day. They showed me that there are four levels to slimming and compared it to the levels on a video game. For some people level 1 (the physical) is all that needs to be addressed to release that weight: food and exercise. But for the rest of us, there are more levels of complexity involved in releasing that weight: emotional, mental and spiritual. I explain that by accessing your akashic records (the book of your life) you can address all those levels. I also explain what the akashic records are and how different they are from a regular psychic reading. As fate would have it, I did an akashic records reading to help a client with weight management right after the episode was recorded and what was shown was incredibly exciting, although not surprising for me. The answer was energetic. That client was a natural healer and because of that tends to pick up other people’s energies without knowing it. As a result she was carrying a lot of energetic weight. We cleared all that and I am excited to see what happens as a result of our session. If you would like to book a session with me, click here. She will have to go through level 1 to release the weight but she will probably find that it is a lot easier now that she has techniques to avoid picking up other people’s heavy energies.

This concludes the first set of seven episode on my podcast. I hope you have enjoyed the show notes. If you would like to discuss these topics with me, why not hop over to my page where you will find a post I have created for each podcast where you can ask questions.

To your success and happiness,
