I did some market research in a business group last week which led to some fascinating insights as to what some business peeps think about intuition and I found out that a majority of them think about it negatively. Given that my favourite business models rave openly about intuition, it made me think. Why?

In this week’s podcast episode, I delve into the reasons why I believe intuition has a bad rap, in business but also generally. All of us are intuitive, but we are not taught how to use our intuition so we are controlled by it rather than the other way round. We also don’t know how to distinguish between intuition and fear. Let me explain.

Most of the people who publicly share their intuition are psychics who forecast disasters. We live in such a negative world. As a consequence we see intuition as a negative thing and we tend to only use our intuition to avoid problems. This is what happened to me until I decided to use my intuition actively as opposed to passively. There is a real before and after experience. Before, I would get intuition about not going to a place to avoid a bomb attempt, for example. This saved my life so I am incredibly grateful, but it is still about something negative. After, I only receive information that is useful, uplifting and inspiring. It’s like night and day. And I love teaching my VIP clients how to do that too.

To access your own intuition, I would give these three top tips:

  1. Meditate on a daily basis. However, as a former meditation teacher, I encourage you to start really small. Five minutes of silent meditation. Put the timer on, sit wherever you are (no the lotus position, incense, purple flowing robes and the perfect environment is not necessary), and try to quiet your mind. It’s best to do five minutes per day than strive for the perfect circumstances to do thirty minutes or an hour every week.
  2. Raise your vibration: This is not done by “efforting”. Just have more fun. Play with your kids more. Watch funny cat videos. Go and see a comedy at the cinema.
  3. Learn to recognise the way your intuition speaks to you: Intuition can come as images, sounds, tastes or just a knowing. If you would like to learn more about this, I have done a full podcast episode about this. Check it here.

And if you would like to have some one to one support with this, why not book a chat to discuss my VIP packages. I would love to work with you.
